Cosmetic action:

Babassu is an excellent emollient and is well distributed on the skin, quickly absorbed and does not leave an oily sheen or greasy feeling. When applied to the skin, it makes the skin soft and silky, soothes and protects it, prevents skin dehydration and makes it supple. Softens, protects hair, improves the structure of damaged hair.

Thanks to tocotrienols it has antioxidant and anti-aging effect. Babassu oil contains a high proportion of lauric acid, which has antimicrobial action. For this reason, the cosmetic industry uses babassu not only for dry and tired, but also for oily, mixed skin with inflammation.

It is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Protective and emollient action is beneficial for damaged, dehydrated, rough, flaky skin. Appropriate in anti-cuperose products. As part of a cream, gives additional stability to the formulation. Used as one of the best moisturizers for any skin type.

Its composition is similar to sebum (the skin's own composition). It nourishes, prevents moisture loss and strengthens the skin's defense functions. Softens the skin, gives it a natural shine, makes it soft and silky. Suitable for the care of delicate baby skin. Does not clog pores. Physical and chemical characteristics are very close to coconut oil, melting point is approximately at the skin temperature.

Used in lip balms, skin cleansers and brittle hair care.

Other uses:

Babassu oil is used in the manufacture of soap. In refined form, it is a substitute for palm kernel oil in food products.

Application Methods:

As an additive only - 10-50%. It is not recommended to use in pure form and as a base oil.

Storage: In the refrigerator may precipitate in the form of flakes, placed at room temperature the structure of the oil is restored. Store in a tightly closed dark container at a temperature not exceeding +25 °С.
