Characteristics of the component and features of use

INCI: Sodium Carboxymethyl Betaglucan, Pentylene glycol, Aqua Concentration of the main substance: 2%.

The main substance of Beta-Glucan solution is the dry active CM-Glucan Granulate, the maximum dosage of which does not exceed 0.1%.

Dosage: 0.1-5%

Solubility: in water

Use: Dissolve Beta-Glucan in the aqueous phase. In cold/hot processes add during the cooling phase (<40 °C). Stable when heated up to 80 °C. The optimum pH of finished cosmetics with this active is 4.0 - 6.0, but it remains stable at a pH of 2.0 to 10.0. Beta-Glucan can be used in most cosmetic and dermatological formulations, including non-ionogenic and ionogenic surfactants, as well as alcohols in concentrations up to 40%.

Storage: in a dry dark place in a tightly closed package at temperatures up to 25˚C.

Origin and properties of Beta Glucan in cosmetics

Beta-Glucan is a natural polysaccharide which is a derivative of ß- (1,3) and ß- (1,6) glucan. It is obtained by an innovative process of purification from the cell walls of baker's yeast, resulting in more effective cosmetic properties and improved water solubility. This component is a physiologically active compound and has extraordinary immune boosting abilities. All this is thanks to the patented technology of production of the active, when ß-Glucan is extracted from the cell walls of baker's yeast, followed by a carboxymethylation process (0.75 degree substitution). As a result, the helical structure and all biological functions of beta-glucan are preserved.
