Blackcurrant is a surprisingly useful berry shrub with an extremely wide range of medicinal properties. Blackcurrant fruits are considered to be almost the main competitors of sauerkraut in terms of vitamin C content and far ahead of citrus fruits, and they are really unique in terms of acid composition. Blackcurrant seed oil is an irreplaceable and alternative source of unique omega fatty acids. It is one of the rarest and most valuable base oils actively used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, especially in anti-ageing therapy.
To stabilize and preserve its beneficial properties, blackcurrant oil in our store is stabilized with vitamin E from BASF (0.5%).
Synonyms: Blackcurrant seed oil, Huile de pepins de cassis, Johannisbeerkernol The most valuable component in blackcurrant seed oil, which is the reason for its unique status, is gamma-linoleic acid. In addition, blackcurrant oil contains another, rather rare for vegetable oils polyunsaturated stearidonic acid (it is an intermediate fatty acid in the human body in the synthesis of prostaglandins). In other words, blackcurrant oil is one of the few vegetable oils containing both Omega3 and Omega 6 polyunsaturated acids. In addition to unique fatty acids, the base oil also has a very high percentage of tocopherols and carotenoids, sugar, unique tartaric, succinic, malic, phosphoric, nicotinic acids, riboflavin and thiamine, iron, copper, aluminium, manganese, and PP vitamins. Cosmetological properties of currant oil are determined by a complex of moisturising, regenerating and smoothing (smoothing) characteristics. This oil allows the most active stimulation of collagen synthesis, restore the barrier functions of the epidermis, returns elasticity to the skin. In cosmetology, currant oil is the most effective base oil for complex restoration of fading, dry, irritated and flaky skin. It is considered indispensable for aging, dehydrated and fading skin, the main component of anti-aging care. The high content of gamma-linolenic acid in currant seed oil helps with skin diseases such as dry skin, eczema, itchy skin, neurodermatitis, because the constituents of γ-linolenic acid have a pronounced anti-inflammatory and antipruritic effect. Blackcurrant oil can be recommended in cosmetology for: - Stimulation of regeneration, cell renewal of the skin - In the recovery period after various aggressive manipulations (peels, mechanical cleaning, dermabrasion) - As a mandatory Anti-age additive in products for mature, dry, cracked skin, helping to cope with age-related dryness and restoring skin elasticity; - Anti-age additive in products for the prevention of wrinkles - In products aimed at normalising the activity of sebaceous glands - In various skin diseases - neurodermatitis, eczema, psoriasis - as a means of regulating cell keratinisation and increasing skin hydration - In products for nail plate care - In hair products, for the treatment of dry seborrhoea, psoriasis of the scalp. Recommendation: in order to increase the stability of currant oil, antioxidants such as vitamin E, CO2 extract of romarina, CO2 extract of sage can be added.
