Caprylic Capric Triglyceride is a natural emollient derived from coconut oil

Caprylic Capric Triglyceride is a highly polar emollient that is a fraction of coconut oil. It is a complex ester for cosmetic use, which has similar properties to natural triglycerides and leaves a great feeling on the skin after application.

Origin: 100% vegetable

Dosage: 3-30% (up to 100% depending on the rezetura). Manufacturer's recommended dosages:

• 3 - 30% in facial cosmetics
• 3 - 30% in children's cosmetics
• 0,5 - 4% in hair products
• 3 - 40% in decorative cosmetics
• 3 - 15% in tanning products.

Solubility: in oil and ethanol

Storage: in a dry, dark place in a tightly closed container. Protect from direct sunlight, high humidity and heat.

Properties and use in cosmetics

It has very mild dermatological properties, is non-comedogenic, recommended for cosmetic products for the dissolution/delivery of oil-soluble active ingredients and especially UV filters.

In cosmetics and professional skin care products, caprylic/capric triglyceride is used in the formulation of lipsticks, eyeshadows, foundations, blushes, perfumes, moisturisers, self-tanners, sun creams and many other products. Because of its low viscosity and excellent oxidation resistance, Capric Triglyceride are effective solvents and excellent echansters for fat-soluble vitamins, active ingredients and physical UV filters, giving this product great efficacy in making macerates/oil extracts.

• provides a slippery feel and promotes dispersion of pigments in various coloured cosmetics
• have high stability with respect to oxidation. This is particularly useful as an emulsion stabiliser. This property is indispensable for cosmetic products, helping to give them a longer shelf life.
