Classic alginate mask base

A classic base for the preparation of alginate mask, made in France by the factory Nuwen by Setalg. The factory is built on a peninsula by the sea, in the center of a unique European marine protected area, and is dedicated to the production, processing and valorization of natural marine and terrestrial products. 

Product characteristics

Ingredients: Diatomaceous Earth, Algin, Calcium Sulfate, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Citric Acid, Trisodium Phosphate

Dosage: up to 100%

How to use: mix the powder with water in the proportion of 15-20 g of mask and 45-60 g of water to the consistency of thick sour cream. Immediately apply to the face in a thick layer. Leave for 15-30 minutes, then remove in one piece from bottom to top. Complete the procedure by applying a cream. The mask can be done for preventive purposes once a week or a course of 2-4 times a week 10-15 procedures in a row.

Storage: in a dark place at room temperature, protect from moisture and direct sunlight.

What is an alginate mask

The classic alginate mask is an ultra-fine, colorless powder of 100% natural origin made from French seaweed. Due to the high content of marine alginates, when water is added, the powder turns into a gel, allowing you to create plasticizing masks for face and body. After 15-20 minutes, all the beneficial components penetrate deep into the skin, and the mask hardens and is easily removed in one piece, leaving the skin soft and the complexion matte and uniform.

According to research, alginate masks reduce skin moisture loss and concentrate it in the lower layers of the epidermis, which is why you immediately get the effect of moisturized and nourished skin after applying the mask. Thus, the classic alginate base increases skin hydration by 74.8%, while the translucent base with glucose increases the degree of hydration by 124.3%.

How to use the classic base for alginate mask

Classic alginate mask is usually diluted with water in a ratio of 1:3, where for 1 part of powder there are 3 parts of water. To make a mask only on the face, you will be enough 10-15 g of alginate base. But if you want to cover the neck and décolleté area, increase the amount of powder 2-3 times.

This base can be used alone or with active ingredients, CO2 extracts, essential oils or plant powders of your choice. By combining different actives, you can create alginate masks according to your skin type or the problem being addressed.
 
You can create your own recipe and add to the ready-made base

• up to 15% dry assets: clays, fruit and vegetable powders, dried algae, atomized sea water, activated charcoal, cocoa;
• liquid active ingredients according to their % input;
• essential oils up to 2% (take into account that essential oils are very active and can cause irritation at a high percentage of input in the composition);
• CO2 extracts.
