Cosmetic features of the product

Rassoul is a natural mineral product, mainly consisting of stevensite, and clay ore consisting of magnesium silicate. Mineralogical and chemical controls are regularly carried out by experts for a product such as Rassoul according to standards precisely set by the Moroccan Government and published in official sources. Once mixed and dispersed in water, Rassoul turns into mud and plays the role of a cleaner and grease remover thanks to its high cation-exchange properties. Its method of action works only through adsorption and therefore has no negative effect on hands, skin, hair or mucous membranes.

Rhassoul absorbs water at 1.66 times its own weight (15g of ghassoul can absorb 25ml of water). Once hydrated, Rassoul swells to a volume of 35 ml.

Its main properties are:

  • narrowing, cleansing pores,
  • increasing skin turgor,
  • normalising the fat balance,
  • strengthening the hair follicle,
  • accelerating hair growth, reducing hair loss,
  • reducing hair greasiness, gently removing impurities from the scalp without disturbing the lipid balance of the skin,
  • strengthening the structure of the hair itself, closing the scales, thus rassul gives shine and silkiness to the hair
  • is used as a remedy to relieve inflammation in eczema, dermatitis, seborrhoea and psoriasis
  • fluid removal and detoxification in swelling, joint pain,
  • gout neutralisation of unpleasant odours.

On the basis of Rassoul clay various face and body masks are prepared. The clay can be used both in 100% concentration and in any proportions with other clays and herbal Ayurvedic powders.

Facial Skin Care

This frothy saprophyll clay from the Middle Atlas Mountains, rich in minerals, iron and magnesium oxides perfectly cleanses and absorbs impurities. Rassoul can be used alone or in combination with essential oils, as well as with floral waters. An ancient product, rassoul has always been an indispensable natural component for body, face and hair care - since the 12th century Moroccans have been using it to stimulate, revitalise, purify and soothe the skin. Its unique properties leave the skin feeling particularly soft, velvety and delicately scented after treatment. Known for its absorbent and emollient properties, russul is used in the form of masks to purify and brighten skin tone. Especially recommended for sensitive and allergic skin, rassoul removes all impurities, cleansing beautifully, including black spots.

Hair care

It is added to hair masks to remove the following substances from the scalp:

  • fatty particles secreted by the sebaceous glands,
  • organic and mineral substances from sweat,
  • keratin residues from scalp flaking,
  • residues from hair styling products.

Due to its foaming and cleansing properties, adsorption capacity and gentle use, Rassoul can be used in hair care products. It plays the role of a natural shampoo that cleanses the hair and scalp without any harmful side effects on the skin or keratin fibres. Using Rassoul for hair is particularly easy and the result is shiny hair.
