Red cosmetic clay for face, body and hair
Red clay is a successful cosmetic product for facial skin prone to allergic reactions. It is rich in iron and gives your skin freshness and radiance. It is good for hypersensitive skin. Red clay improves blood circulation and oxygenates the deep layers of the skin. This property is used to refresh tired skin and rejuvenate fading skin.

Cosmetic features of the product
The use of red clay is good for anaemic skin and skin with close blood vessels, prone to redness and irritation. It is often used for iron deficiency in the body.
Allergy sufferers are effectively helped with rashes of various kinds: it soothes the skin, relieves irritations, treats acne and inflammation, and prevents capillary dilation. Rich in minerals, red clay cleanses the skin, removes dirt from the pores to the surface of the skin, which are subsequently washed away with water. Red clay is suitable for hyperaemia (overflow of blood vessels, increased redness of the face and red acne). Red clay masks are good for dehydrated, dry skin: tightens pores, improves the appearance of the skin.
In addition to facial care, red clay is used for hair care, and is ideal for skin prone to excessive sweating, which weakens the hair. It restores normal blood circulation to the scalp and reduces the rush of blood. Effective remedy for hair loss of hair weakened after colouring or perming. It is possible light colouring of blonde hair.
Medicinal use
The composition of trace elements endows red clay with interesting properties from the point of view of healing. For health purposes is used the ability of red clay to remove infiltrates (accumulations of cellular elements with an admixture of blood and lymph), remove pus, relieve inflammation. The property of red clay to prevent the processes of putrefaction and decomposition is used in the treatment of many diseases. Baths with red clay helps to replenish the body lack of iron. Effective in cardiovascular diseases, arterial hypotension, varicose legs, some nervous and endocrine diseases, excellent for joint pain.
Standard recipe for clay mask (amount for face)
- clay 2 tsp.
- water (or hydrolat) 4-5 tsp (or vary yourself to the state of thick sour cream)
- optional favourite base oil 1 tsp.
- essential oils as desired or your problem 3-4 drops.
How to make a mask from clay
- Take clay (or a mixture of different clays). Pour into a suitable container.
- Add water (or hydrolat) until the consistency of thick sour cream.
- Add base oil and essential oil and stir thoroughly.
- Apply a thick layer to the face, neck and décolleté area. Leave it on for 10-15 min. Preferably do not allow the mask to dry on your face. You can spray your face with an atomiser or cover it with wet gauze.
- Rinse the mask off with water. Apply moisturising cream.

- liquid soap 5-20%.

Hair care
Cosmetic clay is used in the formulas of liquid, dry and solid shampoos, as well as in hair masks. It provides deep cleansing action, absorbs excess sebum, oxygenates and revitalises the scalp, stimulates cell regeneration (against dandruff). Green clay, white clay and russul are particularly effective in hair care. Recommended dosages:
- dry powder shampoo 30-50%
- dry spray shampoo 3-5%
- solid shampoo 3-5%
- liquid shampoo 5-20%
- hair masks 5-20%.
Oral care
Cosmetic clay is used in natural toothpaste formulas. It provides cleansing action, restores neutral pH, heals, soothes inflamed gums and prevents bleeding gums, keeps fresh breath. Green and white clay are particularly effective in oral care. Recommended dosage: 30-50%.
Natural deodorants
Cosmetic clay is used in the formulas of natural deodorants. It ensures the preservation of freshness by neutralising odours. Green and white clay are particularly effective in deodorants. Recommended dosages:
- roller deodorants 1,5-5%
- deodorant sprays 1,5-5%
- stick deodorants 3-7%
