Benefits of CO2 extract in cosmetology

Cranberry is a unique berry. It contains such useful substances that are not found in any other berry: polyphenol - a kind of

plant antioxidant, which has a powerful healing effect, organic acids: malic, cinnamic, citric and benzoic (a powerful antiseptic). In addition, the berries have pectin, which has a high gelling activity, anthocyanins and leucoanthocyanins, which have antioxidant properties.

Cranberry extract has antiseptic action due to the content of acids such as benzoic and chlorogenic. Amino acids in the composition enhance metabolic processes in the skin and help to retain moisture, and tannins will improve the condition of oily and problem skin.

For any type of skin will be useful vitamins and trace elements contained in cranberries, it is riboflavin (B2), a small amount of carotene (provitamin A), thiamine (B1) and nicotinic acid (PP). Of the trace elements in the composition of cranberries is dominated by potassium (0.64 - 1.27%), phosphorus and calcium are much less (0.24 - 0.40%), iron (0.01 - 0.05%) and manganese (0.024 - 0.075%), a significant amount of molybdenum and copper. This composition promotes regeneration of any skin type, tones and gives a radiant appearance. CO2 cranberry extract has a capillary-strengthening effect, which is indispensable for couperose. Anti-inflammatory and bactericidal action is indispensable for problem skin, wound healing - for dry and damaged skin, and antioxidant - for mature and aging skin.

CO2 cranberry extract prevents pigmentation formation, softens the skin, strengthens blood vessels, tones and increases skin resistance. Cranberry extract enhances the transportation and assimilation of oxygen due to the action of bioflavonoids, which are rich in this northern berry.

Recommendations for use at home

• for the preparation of oil mixtures CO2 extract is added to the base vegetable oil in the standard dosage of 0.2 - 0.5% or 0.2-0.5 g per 100 g of oil, then thoroughly stirred until dissolved;
• in recipes for handmade cosmetics CO2 extracts are introduced at the final stage of preparation together with other active ingredients at a temperature of 35-45 °C. In creams, the extract can be introduced into the warm emulsion before the active phase is introduced.
• CO2-extracts can be added to already prepared cosmetic creams to enhance the effectiveness of their action with strict observance of the dosage.
