Moreover, 100 g of amaranth protein contains 6.2 g of lysine - an essential amino acid, which is not in such quantities in other plants. And the content of essential amino acids - threonine, phenylalanine, tyrosine and tryptophan, the structure of amaranth is equal to the protein of women's milk. Also in amaranth there are mineral substances in chelate forms - calcium, iron, phosphorus in significant amounts and other trace elements.
In cosmetic products is used as a component that has a softening, moisturizing, nourishing and protective effect on the skin, promotes the transfer of nutrients to deeper layers of the skin. It has antioxidant, antitumor, hepatoprotective, hemostatic, antimicrobial, fungicidal, wound healing, immunomodulatory action.
Squalene, which is the main active ingredient of amaranth extract, has emollient, antibacterial, wound healing, antioxidant properties. Squalene is a natural component of human skin (up to 12-14%), it is able to be easily absorbed and penetrate inside the body, accelerating the penetration of substances dissolved in the cosmetic product.
Tocopherols increase cellular defense mechanisms, create local immunity, accelerate the growth of cells of the wound surface, so Amaranth oil is used as an effective remedy for various skin diseases (trophic ulcers, dermatitis, psoriasis, vesicles, exudative erythema, etc.).
CO2 extract of Amaranth contains a special, active form of tocopherols - tocotrienol, which has a higher degree of antioxidant protection.
