Benefits of CO2 extract in cosmetology
CO2 extract of Sage has anti-inflammatory, astringent, disinfectant, emollient and strong antioxidant effect. It is used in cosmetology: in creams, bath products, traditionally in hair care products, creams to relieve tired feet.
CO2 extract of Sage is used in cosmetic products for fading, flabby or wrinkle-prone skin, as a refreshing and toning facial and body skin, for skin cleansing, for allergic and seborrheic diseases, for skin with enlarged pores, sensitive and prone to irritations, in preparations for the treatment of inflammation, hard-to-heal wounds, cracks and redness. CO2 extract of Sage is used in hair care products, helps with hair loss, stimulates blood circulation in the scalp and strengthens hair roots, in masks that protect dry hair from brittleness, in rinses for hair lightening, dandruff and oily seborrhea.
According to the results of the research, the extracts with the highest degree of impact on peroxidative radicals were identified. Sage, rosemary, calamus and carrot extracts contain the maximum concentration of antioxidants. CO2 extract of Rosemary contains up to 60% of phenolic terpenoids belonging to the second type of inhibitors, and this makes it possible to classify CO2 extract of rosemary as an inhibitor of the oxidative process by its action. The actioxidant content of rosemary CO2 extract is 10.1 (10-2 kg/mol) .
Recommendations for use at home
- for the preparation of oil mixtures CO2 extract is added to the base vegetable oil in the standard dosage of 0.2 - 0.5% or 0.2-0.5 g per 100 g of oil, then stir thoroughly until dissolved;
- in recipes for handmade cosmetics CO2 extracts are introduced at the final stage of preparation together with other active ingredients at a temperature of 35-45 °C. In creams, the extract can be introduced into the warm emulsion before the active phase is introduced.
- CO2-extracts can be added to already prepared cosmetic creams to enhance the effectiveness of their action with strict observance of the dosage.
