Natural base for shower gel

Prepare organic shower gel with your own hands at home is very easy if you buy a ready-made base from the famous English manufacturer Stephenson. The base has a balanced composition, grammatically developed by technologists and consists of 79% organic components. This data is confirmed by the British organization Soil Association Organic.

Tips and recipes

This base is a natural raw material with which you can easily prepare an organic shower gel with just a few ingredients. The base itself consists of natural liquid soap made from organic sunflower and coconut oils, as well as gentle surfactants to give it additional foaming properties. Vegetable glycerin is included as an additional moisturizing component.

To create a cleansing gel, you will only need to add a few ingredients:

• natural liquid dye for bright color: add a few drops at a time, stirring constantly, until you get the desired color;
• essential oil, blend or fragrance for a delicious aroma: it is recommended to add no more than 0.5% to preserve the transparency of the finished shower gel;
• if desired, you can add plant CO2 extracts for specific cosmetic properties: 0.2-0.5% of CO2 extracts can be added, pre-dissolved in water-soluble oil or Resassol VPF solubilizer;
• if desired, you can add conditioning agents such as wheat hydrolysate up to 5% or silk amino acids up to 2% to soften the body after washing. These actives can be added immediately to the heated base.
• If desired, you can add a 20% solution of table salt (4 parts water: 1 part salt) to thicken the base. Add the solution to the shower gel drop by drop, stirring constantly, to the desired thickness.
• It is not advisable to lower the pH of the ready-mix too much to avoid changing the appearance of the base or precipitating it. 

Working with the base: since Organic Body Wash Base is made from natural and organic ingredients, the use of fragrances and essential oils above 0.5% may cloud the gel. Over time, the introduced ingredients may slowly dissolve and the gel will become transparent again. When active ingredients are added, a preservative must be added. If dry ingredients such as scrubbing particles or clay are added, they are likely to precipitate.
