Organic Natural Shampoo Base Liquid Shampoo Base

English Natural Liquid Shampoo Base contains approximately 74% organic ingredients. It contains only mild plant surfactants approved by the Soil Association and has an acidity level of 4.5 - 5.5. Now it is quite easy to make a homemade natural shampoo: add active ingredients for your hair type, aromatize the base, additionally preserve the ingredients and it's done! 

Characteristics of the component and peculiarities of use

INCI: Aqua (Water), Decyl Glucoside, Lauryl Betaine, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice Powder, Citric Acid, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid.

Appearance: Viscous liquid with pale yellow to yellow color. The viscosity of each batch is different and varies within the data according to the specification.

Usage: add active ingredients and essential oils as desired and according to the % input of each component. Water-soluble components must be dissolved in water beforehand, in this case additional shampoo preservation is required. Fat-soluble components can be dissolved in a solubilizer and then mixed with the aqueous part of the assets. If you are adding only essential oils or fragrances, they can be added directly to the base and no additional preservative is required.

Storage: it is recommended to store in a dark cool place, protect from direct sunlight and overheating. 

Descriptions and properties of the shampoo base

• Consists of ingredients of plant origin
• Allows the production of certified hair shampoo (Soil Association certified) if the mixing and packaging equipment is organic certified.
• Contains mild surfactants approved by the Soil Association that give a good creamy foam.
• Free of SLS, SLES and parabens.
• Enriched with Aloe Vera.
• Product color is colorless to pale yellow.
• Does not require thickening, as long as you do not introduce large amounts of water.

 
Fully ready to use base, it is only necessary to add essential oils or fragrances (recommended to add no more than 2%), stirring slowly while introducing. Can be adapted to any hair type with specially selected additives.

How to use

• Decide which additives and in what quantity you want to enrich this base: e.g. essential oils, CO2 extracts, phytokeratin, panthenol, allantoin, etc. The amount of input of each active ingredient must correspond to its % input, which is stated in the description or on the label.
• All additives, including essential oils and fragrances, are recommended to be introduced at a temperature of at least 20-25 C. To speed up the process of introducing essential oils or fragrances, warm the base slightly to 35°C.
• Add essential oils to the base (no more than 0.5-2%) and stir slowly until homogeneous for 10-15 minutes.
• If the base is stirred too quickly, air bubbles get trapped inside, making the base less clear. It may take a few days for the air bubbles to escape, but this does not affect the quality of the product.
• To avoid microbiological contamination of the product, observe hygiene rules: keep your workplace and tools clean, sterilize work utensils and packaging bottles.
