CutiBiome cosmetic properties for the beauty of our body and scalp skin The skin ecosystem is a balance of healthy skin and healthy microbiota. With acne and dandruff, the skin and its microbiome are not balanced. This can be caused by hormonal changes and fluctuations as well as stress. In the case of skin rashes, hormonal changes lead to higher sebum production, which subsequently leads to the growth of unfavourable strains of Cutibacterium acnes (the most common type of microorganisms on our skin). It is these bacteria that cause clogged pores, inflammation and the formation of blackheads. Dandruff is often caused by the growth of fungi of the genus Malassezia globosa and Malassezia restricta, which cause inflammation of the scalp, itching and the appearance of `flakes'. As a result, we are not satisfied with our appearance and are in search of that magic ingredient that will work quickly and effectively, have a scientifically proven effect, fulfil the `natural' characteristic and not cause discomfort. CutiBiome fulfils all these parameters, so let's move on to the proven effectiveness of the component. The origin and main actions of the component CutiBiome is a combination of manuka from New Zealand, Chinese magnolia and Indian black pepper. The synergistic complex of the three botanical constituents: Restores the balance of sebum in oily and damaged skin Prevents shine and clogged pores Effectively fights acne for a healthy, even complexion Gently restores the microbiome of the scalp, face and body Regulates sebum production, which effectively reduces dandruff and scalp oiliness Soothes sensitive scalp and relieves itchy dandruff. In vivo study: effects on facial skin In vivo studies were conducted on the effects of CutiBiome on facial skin. 20 volunteers (female and male) aged 17 - 42 years with moderate acne applied CutiBiome twice daily to the face for 8 weeks. The volunteers did not use cosmetics or anti-acne products for one week before the experiment. The amount of sebum was determined using a Sebometer® SM 815 (Courage + Khazaka electronic GmbH), 3 measurements at different times on one volunteer. The number of papules, comedones and pimples on one side of the face was assessed by an expert and then questionnaires were administered. The results showed that after just one week of regular use, the first positive results were noticeable: the skin became less oily, the quality of the skin improved and the symptoms of acne were reduced. See below for detailed results. In vivo study: effects on the scalp In vivo studies were conducted on the effects of CutiBiome on the scalp. For four weeks, 39 volunteers with clinically confirmed dandruff applied CutiBiome and Octopirox to the scalp 3 times a week after washing their hair with a neutral shampoo. 19 volunteers applied piroctone olamine 0.1 % (aka Octopirox) and 20 volunteers applied CutiBiome 1.5 %. Expert judgement: scalp oiliness, photo-evaluation, total dandruff score and then questionnaires. The in vivo studies performed showed a significant reduction in dandruff and restoration of overall skin health. See below for detailed results.
