Soft amphoteric surfactant Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate for foaming and thickening
EUROGLYC D (Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate) from the Belgian manufacturer EOC Group is a mild surfactant that has a thickening effect on ready-made formulas, stabilizes foam, shows excellent foaming and reduces the irritating effect of aggressive surfactants. It is used in all types of detergents and cleansers, including recommended for children's cosmetics. It is also often sold on the market under the trade name Dehyton DC from BASF.

Origin: derivative of fatty acid amide with amphoteric structure

Solubility: in water
Particulars of use: mix with other surfactants and introduce into the water phase with gentle stirring. Recommended pH of ready-made products with this component should be within 4.0 - 9.0.
Storage: at a temperature of 10-25 C. If the product is stored at a different temperature, changes in appearance may occur. This does not affect the quality of the component and it should be kept at the recommended temperature before use.
Use of Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate in cosmetics
Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate is compatible with all types of PAR and has a thickening effect on formulas. The good frothiness of the component varies depending on the hardness of the water or the pH level of the finished product, so remember to use chelators in detergents and cleansers.

EUROGLYC D is effective in fat-based cosmetics. It foams well and quickly, forming a high and persistent lather even in the presence of soap. It is generally used as a secondary surfactant in products such as shampoos, shower gels and liquid soaps. In facial cleansers as well as in children's cosmetics, it can act as the main surfactant. It is not recommended for use in oral care products.
