A foaming pump may malfunction, stop producing foam, or even break after the first use if it's used with viscous cosmetics, or if the cosmetics inside the bottle contain small dry particles (such as jojoba beads or rice powder). Remember that a foaming pump works best with liquids that don't need to be thickened or have a higher viscosity.
