How to introduce fragrance into cosmetics or soaps

There are several dissolving options depending on what kind of cosmetics you are making:

• posh solubility in alcohol
• in a warm emulsion if you want to introduce it into a cream
• in special solubilizers/solvents like polysorbate, pentylene glycol or resassol VPF if you want to introduce it into aqueous solutions. However, if the fragrance (dissolved in a solubilizer) is introduced into an aqueous base, it will reduce its transparency
• in soap making can be added directly to the soap mass or pre-dissolved in solubilizers as described above. 

Recommended concentration: 0.2-2%  

• 0.2-0.5 % in cosmetics
• 0,5-2 % in soaps

According to IFRA certification, the fragrance is used in indelible cosmetics. You can fragrance solid and liquid lipsticks, balms; deodorants and sprays; hair styling products and hair sprays for all types of hair; creams and lotions for face and body; soaps, gels, shampoos; laundry products and other household cleaning products.
