Microcapsules for intensive hair hydration

HMA Silky is a liposomal hair component developed using a unique coacervation technology that increases its effectiveness when applied to hair. HMA Silky contains ceramide III, vitamin F, vitamin P and silicone DC 556. The effectively selected composition improves hair resistance to breakage by 29% at a concentration of only 1%, and also increases hair hydration and nutrition.

Component characteristics and features of use

INCI: Water, Hamamelis Virginiana Leaf Extract, Behentrimonium chloride, PPG-15 stearyl ether, Polyquaternium-68, Hydroxypropyl guar, Phenyl Trimethicone, Glyceryl Linoleate, Glyceryl Linolenate, Ceramide III (or phytosphingosine), Phenoxyethanol, Glycerin, Caprylyl glycol, Glyceryl caprylate

Dosage (percentage of introduction into cosmetics): 1 - 3%. Do not use undiluted.

Solubility: in water at temperatures up to 40 °C.

Features of use: add to products at the end of their preparation and maintain the pH of the finished product within the range of 4.0 - 6.5.

Storage: long-term storage is recommended in a dark place at temperatures up to +25 °C, protect from direct sunlight. Temporary transportation at a different temperature is permitted.

Useful cosmetic properties for hair

HMA (Hair Micro Adhesive) Silky - microadhesives for hair, which, thanks to a special production technology (coacervation), show higher efficiency when applied to hair. Due to its cationic nature and coacervation technology, the active ingredient sticks to the hair surface and remains on it, thereby providing high efficiency and prolonged action.

The product contains ceramides, which restore the integrity of the hair and have a strong hydrating effect. As a result, the general condition of the hair along its entire length improves. Vitamin F strengthens and nourishes the hair, and vitamin P, presented in the form of witch hazel extract, has a protective effect against UV radiation.

To obtain a conditioning effect and facilitate combing of hair, polyquaternium-68 and behentrimonium chloride are used in the composition of the active ingredient, and phenyl trimethicone is used to give the hair exceptional shine and smoothness.

The Hair Micro Adhesive (HMA) series of hair microadhesives includes three types of actives:

• HMA-UV Shell, which consists of the protective active Parsol MCX, green tea and vitamin E
• HMA-Conditioner, which includes DC 200 silicone and polyquaternium

When testing the permeability of assets into the hair, as well as giving hair shine, HMA-Conditioner showed the greatest effectiveness, and the HMA-Silky active takes second place. However, all three components showed high effectiveness compared to placebo. Testing was carried out using shampoo with an active concentration of 1%.

HMA-Silky showed significant results in terms of hair strength, tensile strength and strong hydration. Based on the studies, we can conclude that HMA-Silky is the most versatile component that provides hydration, increases hair strength, adds shine and makes combing easier.

From the graph above, we can easily see how much more effective HMA technology is compared to the same active substance, but not enclosed in a lysposome. The olive color on the graph shows the effectiveness of HMA Silky, while the yellow color shows the effectiveness of the free active.
