Jojoba oil in facial and hair cosmetics Jojoba oil is a liquid wax that has good conditioning properties. The oil has a thick consistency, but with an extremely high penetration and absorption capacity, it provides a protective layer and does not leave a greasy sheen on the skin and hair. It nourishes, moisturises and penetrates deeply into the pores, perfectly caring for the skin of the face, neck and décolleté. This unique oil, similar in properties to spermaceti, has no equal in chemical composition in the plant world. Approximately 25% of the sebum is made up of waxy esters, similar in composition to jojoba oil. Thanks to this, it is quickly absorbed, easily penetrating the skin barrier along with the biologically active ingredients dissolved in it. Mixing with sebum ingredients on the skin surface, jojoba oil forms a gas-permeable protective layer. It is characterised by a high vitamin E content, which determines its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, regenerating properties and its ability to be stored for a long time without rancidity. Forms a thin semi-permeable film upon application, which softens the skin and helps it retain moisture (reduces transepidermal water loss), forming an airtight barrier, while not blocking the normal functioning of the skin, without inhibiting the evaporation of gases and water vapour. Rejuvenates, regenerates, preserves the skin's natural moisture. It has anti-inflammatory and normalising properties, so it is useful for both dry and oily skin. Jojoba oil is popularly used in baby care cosmetics - it is quickly absorbed, does not clog delicate children's skin, perfectly protects and moisturises it. Jojoba oil is simply irreplaceable in formulations of sunscreen and after-sun products, sunscreen creams and lotions, lip balms due to its high resistance to oxidation and temperature, its ability to increase the oxidation resistance of other ingredients and its ability to reduce the negative effects of free radicals on skin lipids. The use of the oil in hair cosmetics Jojoba oil is also an excellent dissolving agent that effectively removes sticky layers from modern hair care products, leaving the hair clean and soft. It achieves an unparalleled keratoplastic effect, which makes hair shiny and restores its natural colour and splendour. One of the main functions of the effect of lipids on the hair is moisturising, which improves the texture and manageability of the hair. The guarantee of manageable, soft and shiny hair is to keep it moisturised at all times. This is exactly what jojoba oil does: jojoba oil conditions brittle and dull hair, improves its condition and protects it from unfavourable influences. Use in natural formulas: anti-aging creams and lotions for the face; products for elasticity of the body skin; sunscreen lotions and creams; in mixtures with unstable oils for resistance to oxidation; as an emollient; in mixtures of hair oils; cosmetics for children's skin; perfumes based on oils; cosmetics for dry and dehydrated skin; soothing products after sunbathing. This oil is stable and can be used in mixes of oils to give them stability. It is an excellent complement to unstable oils and can replace an emollient. It can also be applied to the skin in pure form, but it is better to use a 10% solution and enhance with essential oils. Storage: in a tightly closed dark container at room temperature. Does not lose its qualities even with many years of storage. Freezes in the refrigerator.
