Lamesoft PO 65 - natural lipid enhancer for foaming formulations

Lamesoft PO 65 is a moisturizing biolipid for the skin and scalp, made from 100% renewable raw materials. It provides a noticeable long-term moisturizing benefit in all types of rinse-off formulas. Studies have proven that cleansers with Lamesoft PO 65 in the composition make the skin smoother, like a baby's. It can also increase the viscosity of formulas with sulfate surfactants and create a creamy and stable foam.Lamesoft PO 65 has EcoCert certification and is a mixture of cocoglycoside and glyceryl oleate.

If Lamesoft PO 65 is unavailable in stores, a complete INCI replacement is possible with the following combination (for example, if 3% Lamesoft PO 65 is required):

 

Softisan(INCI: Glyceryl oleate) - 0,7%

Coco Glucoside - 1,5%

That is, in a 1:2 ratio.

You can also create your own version by adding  Decyl Glucoside

Dosage: 0.5 - 5%

Features of use: add to the mixture of other surfactants from the recipe and stir gently. For better and faster dissolution of Lamesoft in other surfactants, the mixture can be heated in a water bath. It is recommended to combine with Plantapon PSC and Plantapon SF bases to thicken the formulas and give them softness.

Application of Lamesoft in cosmetics

Lamesoft PO 65 is a co-surfactant that is not used alone, as it has insufficient washing and foaming properties. We recommend using it in combination with other surfactants, especially with K-betaine, Plantapon PSC and Plantapon SF, to which it will impart increased viscosity and softness.

Below you can see that adding 1% Lamesoft PO 65 to the formula provides a sense of cleanliness and softness. 3% Lamesoft PO 65 leaves skin soft, smooth, silky for up to 24 hours.And 5% - provides protection of natural moisture of healthy skin for 24 hours. Moreover, Lamesoft PO greatly affects the viscosity of the finished formula, thereby allowing you to save on special thickeners for shampoos and shower gels.

Lamesoft is a soft, safe surfactant for skin and hair, intended for daily use, including in children's cosmetics. In shampoos, it has a positive effect on their conditioning properties and adds shine to hair. For example, when including 5% Lamesoft in the composition of cosmetic skin cleansers and shampoos, their effectiveness increases by 1.7%, which allows reducing the concentration of other surfactants. It is used in the formulation of transparent and pearlescent shampoos and cosmetic cleansers.

What Lamesoft consists of

The first of the components is coco-glycoside - a non-ionic surfactant produced from natural components (palm kernel or coconut oil and grape sugar) with excellent dermatological characteristics.

The second component, glyceryl oleate, has a composition similar to skin lipids, fully corresponding to the creamy lubricant that covers the baby's skin at birth. Cosmetics containing glyceryl oleate have excellent dermatological characteristics.

We remind you that Lamesoft PO 65 is a co-surfactant and complements organic formulas of cosmetics, but by itself it does not have sufficient cleansing properties and cannot be used as the main surfactant.
