Mimosa wax - usefulness in cosmetics

Mimosa wax is a hard, aromatic floral wax with a pleasant mimosa fragrance. The aroma is characteristic, soft, floral, with a light creamy note and honey delicate tones. Mimosa wax prevents skin dehydration, has a softening and soothing effect, perfectly restores damaged skin, prevents the formation of wrinkles.

Origin: flower wax is a by-product of the production of absolutes. The concreta, from which the absolute is obtained, is made up of plant waxes that remain after the extraction of the absolute. From 1.5 kg of flowers, 100 g of wax are obtained.

Concentration of wax in various cosmetics:

- in balms, ointments and creams: 1-10%

- in emulsions: 1-5% of the fatty phase

- in solid perfumes: 5-30%

- for soap preparation: up to 5%

Wax alone is mixed with liquid and solid oils when creating balms. Paired with an emulsifier, in small concentrations of 1-3%, it is added to improve emulsion thickness and stability, and for its film-forming properties. In combination with other waxes (beeswax, carnauba wax, candelilla wax) it is used in lipsticks and balms. Combined with mimosa absolute to enhance the mimosa fragrance. Mimosa wax protects very well against frost (for example, it is very effective in protective products for skiers). Any skin, even the most allergic perceives it favorably.
