Cosmetic properties and application of moringa powder
Moringa powder is a natural component obtained from dried and crushed leaves of the Moringa oleifera plant, which has a wide range of cosmetic effects. Due to the high content of antioxidants (including quercetin, chlorophyll and vitamin E), as well as flavonoids, carotenoids and polyphenols, this ingredient is actively used in natural cosmetics as an effective phytocomplex.
One of the key properties of moringa powder is the anti-aging effect. It neutralizes free radicals, slowing down the processes of oxidative aging, improves skin tone and helps maintain elasticity. Anti-inflammatory properties make it useful for acne, irritation, rosacea and dermatitis. Substances with a mild antiseptic effect have been identified in the composition of the leaves, which allows the use of moringa in the care of problematic and sensitive skin.
The powder also has a pronounced sebum-regulating effect, helping to control skin oiliness and cleanse pores. This makes it especially valuable in the care of combination and oily skin. At the same time, due to the presence of natural fatty acids, moringa does not dry out the skin, maintaining its hydrolipid balance.
In hair care products, moringa powder stimulates growth, strengthens hair follicles and prevents breakage. The mineral composition (iron, zinc, magnesium) in combination with B vitamins activates microcirculation of the scalp, and the antimicrobial effect helps fight dandruff and inflammation.
Among other effects is a lightening effect achieved by gently inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase (an enzyme involved in the synthesis of melanin). This allows the use of moringa in products to even out skin tone, reduce pigmentation and post-acne.
Moringa powder goes well with kaolin, aloe vera, jojoba oil, green tea extract.
Due to its soft exfoliating effect, the powder is suitable for gentle peeling, especially in combination with hydrolates or natural enzymes.
