PerfectionPeptide P3 - Swiss biomimetic skin renewal peel

A novelty on the cosmetic market is the biologically active tripeptide Perfection peptide P3, which rejuvenates and brightens the skin due to the fact that it accelerates the renewal of the epidermis and exfoliation of dead skin cells. As a result, the skin is smoothed and radiant, and your face becomes fresh, as in youth. Perfection Peptide P3 is a gentle alternative to chemical and acid peels, while the skin is not damaged at all and does not appear sensitive to the sun.

Component characteristics and usage features

INCI: Hexanoyl Dipeptide-3 Norleucine Acetate (and) Lecithin (and) Glycerin (and) Phenoxyethanol (and) Aqua/Water

Dosage (percentage of input into cosmetics): 0.5-3%. Do not use undiluted on the skin.

Solubility: miscible with water.

Features of use: the recommended pH level of the finished product with this peptide should be within 4.0 - 8.0. Short-term exposure to temperatures up to 60°C does not affect the stability of Perfection Peptide P3. PerfectionPeptide P3 can be incorporated into most cosmetic and dermatological formulations such as emulsions (o/w, w/m) and gels, with the exception of anhydrous formulations. PerfectionPeptide P3 can be dissolved in water and/or added to the emulsion during the cooling phase (below 40°C). High electrolyte concentrations may affect the stability of PerfectionPeptide P3.

Storage: long-term storage is recommended in a dark place at a temperature of 4-8 °C, protected from direct sunlight. Temporary transport at other temperatures is permitted.

Why does our skin need this peptide

PerfectionPeptide P3 is a biologically active tripeptide that reactivates the skin's natural exfoliation process. To maintain the integrity and smoothness of the skin, the upper cells of the stratum corneum must be continuously shed from the surface of the skin as a result of a natural process. This is called desquamation. But as we age, this process becomes slow and uneven, resulting in a lowered skin barrier and drier, rougher, flakier, and duller skin.

PerfectionPeptide P3 restores the flaking process in a way that occurs in young skin. The component is based on a biomimetic tripeptide, designed and vectorized to target the outermost stratum corneum where desquamation occurs. Working only here, PerfectionPeptide P3 specifically breaks the bonds between dead cells on the surface of the skin. The natural effect of PerfectionPeptide P3 peeling and its effects have been confirmed by several clinical studies:

• skin renewal has been enhanced
• increased skin hydration and smoothness
• the depth of wrinkles in the crow's feet area has decreased.
• By reactivating and balancing the flaking process, PerfectionPeptide P3 improves skin quality and can thereby prevent the appearance of blemishes, uneven complexion and signs of aging.
   

Efficacy studies

Strengthening exfoliation

The effect of PerfectionPeptide P3 on skin desquamation was evaluated by studying its effect on the time of renewal of the stratum corneum. The test was performed on 20 women aged 41 to 58 using 2 products: 1% PerfectionPeptide P3 gel and a matching placebo. They applied them twice a day for 28 days on the inside of their forearms. The results showed that PerfectionPeptide P3 significantly increased the "turnover" of the stratum corneum even at low concentrations. This resulted in a reduction in skin renewal time of almost 10% compared to untreated and almost 7% compared to placebo (see graph on the left).

Anti-wrinkle effect on crow's feet (right graph)

Twenty volunteers aged 41 to 58 applied the test products (2% PerfectionPeptide P3 hydrogel and matching placebo) to their crow's feet twice daily for 28 days. Wrinkle depth was determined using the PRIMOS system. After 4 weeks of use, PerfectionPeptide P3 was shown to significantly reduce the depth of wrinkles in the crow's feet area compared to baseline.
 

Improvement of the stratum corneum

Three volunteers aged 24 to 63 years (mean: 7) applied twice a day for 17 days on the inside
their forearms tested products (1% PerfectionPeptide P3 cream and matching placebo). On day 17, patches of skin on their forearms were analyzed using Scanning Electron Microscopy. A study of skin samples showed a positive effect of PerfectionPeptide P3 on the structure of the stratum corneum compared to untreated and placebo:

• the number of cell layers removed by the tape decreased, which indicates that the peeling was more uniform and uniform, without the formation of scales
• the space between cell layers also decreased.

Intense moisturizing and smoothing effect

Intensive moisturizing effect appears after 2 weeks. 20 women aged 41 to 58 applied the hydrogel
containing 1 and 2% PerfectionPeptide P3 twice a day for 14 days on the inside of the forearms. Their skin hydration was determined using a corneometer. The results show that PerfectionPeptide P3 is effective in improving skin hydration after just 2 weeks of use. Using the gel with 2% PerfectionPeptide P3, skin hydration increased by almost 15% compared to placebo and 20% compared to untreated areas.

Smoothing effect after 4 weeks

Twenty women aged 41 to 58 applied a hydrogel containing 1 or 2% PerfectionPeptide P3 twice daily for 28 days to the inside of their forearms. The smoothness of their skin was determined using the PRIMOS system (phase-rapid measurement of the skin in vivo). The results confirmed the ability of PerfectionPeptide P3 to smooth the skin after 28 days, in other words, after the complete renewal of the stratum corneum. With 2% PerfectionPeptide P3, skin smoothness increased by more than 5% compared to placebo and 11% compared to untreated.
