Phenyl trimethicone 10 g

Description: polyphenylmethylsiloxane, which improves the effectiveness of many types of cosmetic formulations.

Recommended application concentration:

1% phenyltrimethicone is sufficient for use in a hair serum or spray to give a noticeable shine.

Antiperspirants: 5-10%

Hair sprays: 0.5-20%

Sunscreen lotions: 2-8%

Hair serums: 1-20%

Creams and lotions: 2-5%

Lipsticks: 1-3% 

Phenyltrimethicone is used in hair care products, emulsions and decorative cosmetics. It provides non-oily skin softening, creates a water-repellent coating, and increases the SPF of sunscreens. Allows the skin to breathe. Gives shine and softness to hair, protects hair from hot air (hair dryers). Adds gloss to lips in lipsticks. Inhibits sweating.

Use in face and body skin care products:

- used as a water-repellent additive (suntan lotions)

- used as an active ingredient in sunscreens, increases SPF factor

- used to reduce stickiness and tackiness in skin creams and lotions (creams, shaving lotions)

- promotes even distribution of active ingredients on the surface of the skin

- prevents whitening effect of deodorants - whitish streaks on skin and clothes

- sweat inhibitor (reduces sweating)

Use in decorative cosmetics:

- high degree of shine and gloss (phenyltrimethicone is the most “shiny” of all silicones)

- gives gloss to lipsticks and lip glosses 

- component for powdered cosmetics

Use in shampoos, serums and conditioners:

- gives shine, softness to the hair and facilitates styling

- spreads evenly over the hair surface, envelops the hair shaft and smooths the scales.

- reduces the harmful effects of high temperatures on the hair when styling hair

- is used to add shine to hair as part of hairsprays, conditioners and other hair care products.

Storage: in a tightly closed container in a cool place protected from light.
