Plant-Based Lanolin as an Alternative to Animal Products
Plantsoft L emollient is made from renewable plant-based ingredients and perfectly mimics the original animal-based lanolin. Plantsoft L has a similar appearance and viscosity, but does not have a specific aroma. The organoleptic characteristics of spreadability, gloss, tackiness and density are equivalent. Plantsoft L contains no materials of animal origin and is Cosmos and Kosher certified.

INCI: Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Glyceryl Rosinate, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil Unsaponifiables.

Dosage (percentage of introduction in cosmetics): 1 - 30%. Vegetable lanolin can be used almost in its pure form. But most often this percentage of introduction is used:
up to 10% in creams
up to 15% in lip care products
in therapeutic products up to 30%.

Compared to Lanolin USP, Plantsoft L has a similar viscosity range.

Sensory Profile
Lanolin USP and Plantsoft L used at 10% in the emulsion system have very similar sensory characteristics. In fact, spreadability, gloss, texture and odor intensity are equivalent. In addition, the vegetable lanolin leaves a less greasy and sticky feel after application of the emulsion.

Water Binding Capacity
Compared to Lanolin USP, Plantsoft L is able to absorb 4 times its weight in water.
