PoreAway - an effective skin mattifying agent

PoreAway is a Swiss-made ingredient developed as an effective mattifying agent to improve skin and narrow enlarged pores. Highly effective at a dosage of 2% or more.

Characteristics of the component and specifics of use

INCI: Pistacia Lentiscus Gum/Pistacia Lentiscus (Mastic) Gum (and) Lecithin (and) Glycerin (and) Alcohol (and) Aqua/Water

Dosage: 2 - 5%

Solubility: in water at a temperature not exceeding 40°C

Use: dissolve in water, in the active phase or introduce directly into a warm emulsion and stir thoroughly until dissolved. Keep the pH of the finished product within 4.0 - 8.0.

Storage: long-term storage is recommended in a dark place at a temperature of 4-7 °C, protect from direct sunlight. Temporary transport at a different temperature is allowed.

Cosmetic properties

PoreAway is based on the extract of mastic tree - a resin with antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and astringent properties. The resin is extracted from the tree Pistacia lentiscus, which grows on the Greek island of Chios. Previously, it was used in products for cleaning teeth and freshening breath, because in addition to these properties, the resin has a pleasant aroma. Earlier resin was not used in cosmetics because of its insolubility in water and stickiness. However, the manufacturer has solved this problem by placing the resin in a special delivery system.

Clinical trials conducted on Caucasian and Asian skin have shown that PoreAway visibly shrinks pores, eliminates pimples and small cysts, and reduces oily shine, making the skin more matte and even.

Effectiveness Studies Volunteers: 

20 white women 24 to 61 years old with enlarged pores applied 2% PoreAway twice daily for 28 days. The results recorded an 8% reduction in pores after 14 days, more than 15% after 28 days of application. The effect of pore reduction was pronounced in 95% of the volunteers.
