Germall plus is a highly effective, broad spectrum preservative for emulsions and aqueous formulations. It can be incorporated into a variety of leave-on and rinse-off cosmetic and personal care formulations for broad preservation.

Characteristics and usage features

INCI: Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate

Dosage: 0.1 - 0.5%

Usage: dissolves in the aqueous phase of the formula at a temperature not exceeding 50 °C, therefore, when preparing a standard emulsion, Germal plus must be introduced into the active phase of the cream. Do not use in aerosol products. Operating pH range 3.0 - 8.0.

Storage: in a dark dry place at temperatures up to 30 C. Protect from complete freezing.

Cosmetic use

Germall Plus liquid has the same properties as the powder form of this preservative. Ideal for use in cosmetics such as: shampoos, body gels, bath foams, conditioners, etc., i.e. products with a high content of water in the recipe. Also suitable for water-in-oil emulsions, creams, lotions, any products with a high content of pigments and dyes.

Germall Plus is a unique preservative that provides effective antimicrobial action in a wide range of cosmetic formulations. This patented compound of Germall II (diazolidinyl urea) and 3-iodo-2-propynyl butylcarbamate (IPBC) has a dual action, providing a synergistic preservative effect. This action is extremely effective in suppressing the growth of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, household microorganisms, yeast and mold fungi and does not require additional auxiliary preservatives.
