Regu-age is a patented peptide from a Swiss company, which is a blend of pre-purified peptides and yeast proteins that have been biologically and technologically derived. Regu-Age's innovative product renews epidermal cells, improves skin density, removes leakiness and dark circles under the eyes, and maintains the skin's natural radiance and youthful appearance. Scientists conducted studies, as a result of which noticeable results appeared after a month of using the component.

Characteristics of the component and specifics of use

INCI: Aqua, Glycerin, Hydrolized Rice Protein, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Protein, Superoxide Dismutase, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Dextran Sulfate.

Appearance: solution from transparent yellowish to amber color to turbid.

Origin: 98.6% natural origin (ISO 16128), obtained from soybean meal and rice yeast. Produced by biotechnology using Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast cultures from purified soy and rice peptides. 

Dosage: 2 - 5 %

Use: Dissolve in water, in the active phase or inject immediately into a warm emulsion. Do not heat above 40 C. The pH of the finished product should be in the range of 3.5 - 8.0. It is allowed to combine with ethanol in a dosage not exceeding 10% (at higher concentrations the solution becomes turbid and precipitates). The active can be used for various types of products such as O/W, W/O or W/Si formulations, cream gels, toners, serums, and serums. Regu-age may affect the rheological properties of some systems (electrolyte sensitive systems) due to its preservatives (sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate). To deal with any effect on rheological properties, it is recommended to slightly increase the amount of electrolyte-sensitive thickener over their standard usage level. 

Polysaccharide-based thickeners (e.g. xanthan gum, cellulose types, guar gum, etc.) can be used without restriction and in commonly used concentrations.

Storage: long term storage is recommended at a temperature of +2 to +8°C. A slight precipitation may occur during storage. Shake or stir well before use. Temporary transportation at a different temperature is allowed and does not affect the quality of the product. Do not freeze.

Action of the component in cosmetics

A special complex was developed to create cosmetics designed for eye skin care. Among other products, anti-aging serums and gels that are aimed at the skin of people 40+, where the signs of aging are already clearly visible, are especially distinguished. The product at times reduces purple circles under the eyes, eliminates puffiness. Due to the presence of Regu-age oxidoreductase, protein and rice extract in the composition of Regu-age accelerates blood flow and increases hemodynamics. Thanks to the manifestation of these processes, the matrix of collagen and elastin, which is destroyed by proteolysis, is regenerated. As a result, the number of radicals that lead to accelerated aging of the body and skin in particular is reduced.

Anti-aging component Regu-Age eliminates unsightly bags under the eyes by accelerating blood flow, regenerating collagen and elastin, reducing the impact of negative radicals on the skin. The product has a mild positive effect on the hemodynamic features of the blood, so that the tissues are more and faster supplied with oxygen. Regu-Age prevents the destruction of elastin and collagen, reducing the effects of ultraviolet (sun) rays, returning softness and elasticity to the skin. Thanks to the oxidoreductase in the composition, the component destroys certain radicals and inflammatory processes, which helps to remove bags and shadows under the eyes.
