Product of pressing or extraction of rice germ. It contains proteins, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, trace elements - zinc, iron, potassium, sulfur, phosphorus, linoleic acid, linolenic acid and oleic acid, various natural antioxidants - tocopherol, tocotrienol, oryzanol and squalene. In combination, all of these naturally occurring antioxidants are much more effective in fighting free radicals than the most popular alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E). Because only rice germ oil contains the combination (tocopherol, tocotrienol, oryzanol, and squalene), many pharmaceutical companies have switched to producing natural vitamin E from rice germ oil rather than wheat germ oil as in the past.
