Rice Grits as a natural scrub for face and body
The vegetable exfoliant is obtained from milled and polished rice grain, which gently and gently exfoliates keratinised skin particles, leaving a feeling of comfort after application. The scrubbing particles are suitable for both face and body scrubs. Rice crumbs do not affect the viscosity of the finished product or its colour, they are biodegradable and a natural alternative to PE particles. Caring for nature starts with you and your cosmetics.

Rice - history of origin
Rice has been a food source for over 4,500 years and a versatile ingredient for use in many countries. The consumption of rice began in China, Sri Lanka and India. It then found its healthy way to Japan, before being exported to Greece, Italy and Spain. Rice has always been associated with a healthy diet and is often used as a balanced food ingredient. Indeed, rice is a healthy source of vitamin B and essential amino acids. After some time of consuming the grain as food, rice and its derivatives were introduced in personal care products. Rice bran vegetable oil, rice starch (powder), rice crumb, etc., began to be produced. Rice scrubs were used for centuries by Japanese geishas to give their skin a perfect porcelain look without any imperfections. Now we too have the opportunity to glow with beauty after using a rice scrub.
Rice Germ Powder and its use in cosmetics
Rice grit is polished after drying and milling, resulting in an ideal natural biodegradable exfoliant in the form of solid particles that do not dissolve in water if its temperature is below 50 °C. Rice crumb particles are sterile and free of bacteria, yeast, fungi and insect particles. They act as an effective and most importantly safe ingredient for making scrubs. Their particles are quite hard, but they exfoliate very gently and comfortably. Rice crumbs are fully compatible with various surfactants, do not lose their hardness in the finished product and do not affect the viscosity of the final product. It will be an ideal addition to shower gels, providing gentle daily skin care. When creating scrubbing gels and emulsions, rice powder has no effect on the stability of these cosmetic forms. You can prepare both emulsifier-based scrubs in the form of thick creams and thickening agents in the form of dense gels. The neutral colour and odourlessness of rice crumbs does not affect the final appearance and aroma of the finished product, which allows you to create bright and fragrant compositions.
Caring for the environment: a safe alternative to PE particles
Polyethylene (plastic) scrubbing particles are a very popular ingredient for scrubs. However, once they enter wastewater systems, they end up in water treatment systems and then in rivers and oceans. Plankton, fish, clams, oysters and seabirds die because the plastic microparticles get into their food and are not digested by their bodies. Plastic microparticles absorb PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), polyaromatic hydrocarbons, which enter the food chains of animals. And we ourselves eat fish and seafood contaminated with plastic microparticles. So if you want to eat quality food, start taking care of the environment with yourself.
You can buy rice powder to add to such recipes
Scrubbing is an important part of facial and body skin care. But regular use of scrubs leaves an irreparable environmental footprint if you use synthetic and/or polymer particles as scrubbing agents. It's best to replace from with natural biodegradable rice grit, which you can add to these types of products:
