Rose hips and the oil of the same name (also called Rosa Mosqueta oil) have many useful properties and contain a whole complex of vitamins and minerals necessary for humans. Rose hips have the highest concentration of vitamin C (higher than in lemons, oranges and black currants). Rose hips also contain: iron, carotene, rutin, potassium, phosphorus, potassium, manganese, magnesium, vitamins A and B, as well as tannins and substances, phytoncides and organic acids. Pectins, flavonoids (vitamin P) and lycopene are super antioxidants.

Cosmetic properties of the oil:

Suitable for oily (not in its pure form), dry, sensitive and problem skin, as well as for enlarged pores. Useful for irritated, flaky skin. Restores moisture to dry skin. Recommended for skin care around the eyes and lips.

Rosehip oil has powerful regenerating properties and is useful in situations where skin cell regeneration is needed:

 - Reduces scars and removes skin imperfections. Makes post-acne scars, post-surgery scars, burn marks and cuts less visible. Has the ability to regenerate skin cells, promotes wound healing, improves skin color and elasticity.

 - Slows down the aging process - prevents the appearance of wrinkles, goosefoot, sagging skin, as well as helps to combat existing signs of skin aging and photoaging.

 - Helps with age spots, including those caused by pregnancy.

 - Makes stretch marks less noticeable.

Rosehip oil normalizes intracellular metabolism, preventing the accumulation of skin decay products and aging enzymes, increases skin immunity, has sunscreen properties.

Restores the shine and softness of hair, significantly improves the condition of hair damaged as a result of coloring, bleaching, perm, sun exposure and adverse environmental conditions.

Clinical studies have shown that rosehip oil contains essential nutrients that make this oil extremely useful in cases where tissue regeneration, improvement of skin color, reduction of scars.

It is used as an anti-scarring agent for all types of scars: hypertrophic, hyperchromic, kelloid, as well as for old scars. Helps with skin irritations caused by friction.

Helps in the treatment of eczema, psoriasis, neurodermatitis; helps with skin problems caused by X-ray therapy (inflammation, darkening of the skin, actinic dermatitis). Used for gingivitis, stomatitis, as well as for cracked nipples, sores, trophic ulcers, dermatoses; an excellent remedy for chapped skin

Restores skin after burns

Used externally for bedsores, trophic ulcers of the lower leg, dermatoses, ozena, non-specific ulcerative colitis (in enemas).

The best use of this oil is under the eyes and in the mouth area. But it must be handled with great care. In small quantities, apply to the desired place or, adding to the base oil, create a mixture for massage.

Methods of application

Can be used pure, but is more commonly used in blends as an additive, no more than 10%. Mixes well with nut base oils, such as hazelnut, and this blend is used as a base oil.

Precautions:

Do not use in its pure form on oily skin and acne-prone skin, as the oil may provoke acne enlargement on acne-prone skin.

In the treatment of scars to use rosehip oil is desirable after the wound has healed, on open wounds is not recommended.
