The surfactant cocoglucoside (coco glucoside) is a natural, non-ionic surfactant. It is very mild and is one of the gentlest surfactants available, making it an ideal ingredient for all foaming and cleansing products. Coco Glucoside is fully biodegradable and is EcoCert approved.

Appearance: yellow to amber coloured viscous liquid. Crystallises at temperatures below 15 C.

Origin: vegetable, obtained from renewable raw materials: fruit sugar, coconut oil or corn starch

pH (20% in 15% Isopropanol): 11.5-12.5

Type: nonionic surfactant

Main substance: 51-53%

Dosage: up to 40%

Usage details: mix with water and/or active phase and bring to homogeneity.

Storage: at a storage temperature of 15-25 C. At storage temperatures below +15 C it may crystallise. Warm up and homogenise before use.

Cocoglucoside is a balanced surfactant, which can act as the main surfactant and co-surfactant in detergents and cleaners. You can buy coco glucoside and use it as a thickener in finished products, as it increases the viscosity of products based on it.

Coco glucoside belongs to the soft and delicate surfactants, on the basis of which all kinds of cleansers are produced, including baby cosmetics, products for the care of problem skin with acne and others. It is compatible with all skin types and cleanses the skin without disturbing the barrier layer. At the same time, coco glucoside has conditioning properties, preventing skin dryness in washing foams and helping to smooth unruly strands in shampoos. It is difficult to call this ingredient useful in the literal sense of the word. Its usefulness lies primarily in the absence of harmful and damaging effects on the skin and hair.

This surfactant has exceptional foaming properties. Thanks to it, you can get an abundant, dense and stable foam, which makes it an indispensable component of bath foams and shampoos. If you decide to start production of natural cosmetics in Ukraine - then you should choose this component. After all, coco glucoside has another positive feature - has an emulsifying function. That is, if your recipe contains oil, water and surfactants - coco glucoside will help to bind water and fatty phase and reduce the probability of oil separation in the finished product.

As for the harm of Cocoglucoside - it does not exist as such, because the active is of plant origin and has eco-certificates.

Application peculiarities: if you use Coco Glucoside as a base surfactant - carefully adjust the pH level of the finished product. Since the surfactant itself has a very high pH, the pH of your final product should be adjusted downwards with lactic acid or citric acid. To increase the viscosity of the finished product, it is recommended to use thickeners such as Xanthan Gum or Carbomer.
