Use of Vitamin F forte in cosmetics

Vitamin F is a complex of polyunsaturated fatty acids, the role of which in the vital functions of the human body was studied in the early twentieth century. Then the name “vitamin F” (from the English word “fat” - fat) appeared.

Linoleic and linolenic acids are involved in the construction of cell membranes, in the regulation of fat metabolism, prevent the deposition of cholesterol on the walls of blood vessels, normalize blood circulation. They bind the cells of the epidermis, which preserves the integrity of the protective barrier of the skin and it becomes impermeable to toxins and microbes, protected from dehydration. With a lack of vitamin F develops dry skin, flaking, dandruff, hair loss and thinning nails. Against the background of increased permeability of the stratum corneum and violation of cellular differentiation can occur dermatitis, eczema, pustules.

The skin begins to age rapidly. There is a clear relationship between the lack of linoleic acid and acne.

The effectiveness of vitamin F for the correction of acne (acne) has been scientifically proven. Active activity of sebaceous glands leads to an imbalance in the composition of sebum, which creates a deficiency of linoleic acid. Following this hyperkeratinization leads to blockage of the ducts of sebaceous glands, and increased permeability of the epidermis creates conditions for the development of propionobacteria, which cause inflammation. Vitamin F is also widely used to correct problematic conditions of hair and strengthen nails.

Cosmetics with vitamin F helps to restore the lipid balance of the skin and the formation of its protective barrier.
The exceptional role of essential fatty acids in the skin makes vitamin F relevant in products for therapeutic and preventive care for both dry, dehydrated and oily, acne-prone skin.

The beneficial effect of vitamin F in recipes

  • as part of cleansers, it reduces the irritating effect of surfactants, helps to maintain the hydro-lipid balance of skin and hair;
  • in skin care creams it performs “repair work”: it restores the protective barrier of the epidermis, reduces its permeability and transepidermal evaporation of moisture;
  • in products after sunbathing, it soothes, moisturizes and refreshes irritated skin;
  • in anti-cellulite products it helps to reduce fatty layers;
  • in products for oily skin restores lipid balance, normalizes the differentiation of epithelial cells, which makes it an effective component in the treatment of scalp seborrhea and acne;
  • in hair care products moisturizes, strengthens and nourishes hair.
