Features of using kaolin

The whitening properties of kaolin are used to create natural toothpastes and chewing gums. Kaolin disinfects the oral cavity, whitens tooth enamel, and removes tartar. It is advisable to add a little clay to tooth powder or paste to get a whitening effect without using strong agents.

The main component of clay is kaolinite. Clay is rich in silica, it also contains a sufficient amount of other important minerals: zinc, potassium, iron, aluminum, and others. Thanks to this composition, white clay helps to get rid of many dermatological problems. When medicine had not yet fully developed, people used compresses from this clay to speed up the healing of wounds and restore skin.

Cosmetic properties of white clay

The main property of the product is to cleanse and slightly dry the skin. Clay absorbs excess sebum and sweat secretions, removing dirt and dust that remain in the layers of the epidermis even after bathing. Another valuable property of the product is the ability to regenerate skin damage. Kaolin absorbs fat and dirt from the skin, fills the dermis with minerals and vitamins, accelerates metabolism, regulates the secretion of the sebaceous glands.

Application in cosmetics

White clay is used not only for oily skin, but is also added to baby powders, ointments and toothpastes. Kaolin is effective for healing scratches, diaper rash in children, so it is used to create creams, powders and other children's products. Manufacturers of decorative products add kaolin to powders and other mineral cosmetics.

Kaolin is used in beauty salons during cleansing procedures: clay helps to thoroughly cleanse the pores of the skin before undergoing mud, paraffin or other wraps. Many women use kaolin to create face masks to improve the breathing of skin cells. However, such masks should not be used by those who suffer from acne or have dry skin, but for those with oily skin, such a mask will be useful.
