Indicator paper is an indicator that works on the “dip and read” principle. In industry, indicator paper is available in the form of indicator strips or test strips for determining acidity or pH. Such strips are available in different versions: with a color scale on the package, with printed pH values on the strip, with an indicator scale on the test strip itself.
Universal indicator paper is used only for approximate determination of pH values within a wide range with an accuracy of about one pH unit or a tenth.
