Walnut leaf extract in cosmetics

SC-CO2 walnut extract is used in cosmetic products as a component with bactericidal and fungicidal effect and as a natural preservative. It protects products from the appearance of mold and yeast-like fungi.

Characteristics of the component and specifics of use

Dosage: 0.2 - 0.5%. A dosage of 0.6 - 2 % is used in therapeutic ointments and creams.

Usage: dissolve in a fatty phase or introduce directly into a warm emulsion and stir thoroughly. If the extract is to be introduced into a serum or aqueous product without the use of base oils, it should be dissolved in a water-soluble oilbeforehand and then introduced into the aqueous phase. Do not heat above 40 C.

Storage: at temperatures up to 25 C.

The product is 100% natural, contains no impurities and is not chemically formulated.

Ingredients: yuglone, terpenoids (caryophyllene and its analogs, eugenol, pinene, ocimene), flavonoids, phytosterols, vitamin E.

Production method: supercritical fluid extraction with natural carbon dioxide, in the absence of inorganic salts, without residual solvent, heavy metals, reproducible microorganisms.

Walnut leaf extract is used in cosmetology for its powerful antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Walnuts treat blackheads, rashes and inflammation. It is used in the preparation of oily skin care products that cleanse and shrink pores and reduce inflammation. Cosmetics containing walnut extract are an excellent treatment for carbuncles, abscesses, malignant tumors and shingles. CO2 walnut extract has photosensitizing properties. It is used to treat leukoderma (vitiligo). Also to get a quick and beautiful tan, the skin is smeared with walnut oil (for example, for 100 ml of base oil add 0.5 ml of CO2 walnut extract).

Hair application

CO2 walnut extract is used for hair care. It is included in shampoos, conditioners and other hair products. It promotes their growth and strengthening, restores damaged hair. It is especially recommended to use walnut extract for oily hair, it removes excessive grease and greasiness.

Use of walnut extract as a co-preservative

In cosmetic products, it is used as a component that has a bactericidal and fungicidal effect. Walnut extract contains alcohol, which is a preservative. Walnut leaves and shells contain juglone, an antibiotic with great bactericidal activity. Even in the smallest concentrations, juglone inhibits the activity of bacteria and microorganisms. • in handmade cosmetics CO2 extracts are introduced at the final stage together with other active ingredients at 35-40°C.
• CO2 extracts can be added to already prepared cosmetic creams to enhance the effectiveness of their action.
