Hydrolate - what is it and how is it made?
Hydrolates (flower water) are obtained after distillation of plants during the process of essential oil preparation. This is water with a residual essential oil content (0.1-0.5%). Also, components that do not enter the essential oil settle in flower water: fruit acids, phytoncides, glycosides.
