Rice powder: a natural ingredient for face and hair
Rice powder, the second name of which is rice starch (Reisita natural from Agrana), is a rheology modifier, adsorbent and thickener, and is an ideal alternative to the use of talc in mineral cosmetics recipes. Rice powder provides good glide and silkiness, makes the face “porcelain”, suitable for dry and oily skin. Because rice starch is fine and lightweight, translucent, slowly absorbs sebum and leaves the skin matte, it is favored by makeup artists and photographers. Rice powder is often used in dry shampoo recipes, as a natural powder for babies and as a component of the water phase of emulsions for a delicate texture.
