Rosemary is one of the oldest plants used for food, healing and magical rituals. In many civilizations it was considered sacred. In ancient Greece, rosemary shoots were burned in temples, in the Middle Ages their smoke drove away evil spirits and saved from plague and infectious diseases. Rosemary hydrolat is a traditional remedy for hair and skin care.

To spray the hydrolate on your skin and hair, we recommend purchasing a sprayer with a 28/410 neck, which can be screwed onto the bottle instead of the lid.

Cosmetic properties of rosemary hydrolate

When caring for hair rosemary hydrolat promotes their growth and removal of dandruff.

Rubs and bandages with rosemary water perfectly soothe muscle and joint pain, relieve pain in arthritis, gout, rheumatism, relieve inflexibility overworked muscles.

At home, rosemary hydrolat is a good cosmetic skin care product. With a strong bactericidal property, it promotes skin healing in small cuts, used as toilet water after shaving and acne. It is a deodorant.

Applications in cosmetics

When using hydrolats in natural cosmetics, take into account the fact that they have a reduced acidity. Unless you are preparing a special low pH product, we recommend balancing the hydrolate by mixing it with water, or adjusting the final pH of the finished product at the end. Hydrolats are used:

• for bathing (just add to the water)
• to rinse your hair after washing. Not only will it make them healthier and shinier, but it will also add a delicate fragrance. Floral waters can also simply be sprayed on the hair after washing or throughout the day without gluing or weighing it down
• to dilute clay, phytomasks and alginate masks, which enhances their effect and adds a favorite fragrance.
• for application before application of oil mixtures and homemade creams, which will facilitate application and enhance their effect.
• as a tonic for wiping the face
• as a substitute for the water phase of cosmetics.

The shelf life of natural hydrolats without preservative is no more than 4 weeks, which is impossible for transportation and further use. Therefore, the hydrolats from BEURRE have Cosphaderm LEO preservative in their composition.
