Experienced soap makers prefer to choose dry pigments, because... First of all, it is economical. Such pigments dissolve in glycerin, oil or water - but you cannot pour the powder directly into the base or water, since sandy sediment will ruin the product, and the coloring may be uneven.
 

Powder pigments: features

Dry dyes are divided into pigments, glitters and titanium dioxide. The main features of the varieties are recognized as follows:

• Pigments. Such dyes are divided into color transmission categories: fluorescent, neon, matte, pearlescent and others. The pigments will need to be dissolved first, as we wrote above.
• Titanium dioxide. Designed for coloring soap white, diluted in a fatty liquid - preferably oil. Suitable for those who make standard white bars for home use.
• Glitters. This is not a dye, but a decorative decoration - crushed glitter, made in the form of circles, flowers, stars and other geometric shapes. Glitters give the soap a special festive look, but do not affect the background color in any way. Glitter is suitable for decorating candles, paper and other handmade decorative items.
