Strawberry hydrolat - all the benefits of ripe berries for your skin

What is strawberry hydrolat? It is a clear liquid with a light aroma of fresh berries. Like any other flower water, strawberry hydrolat is made with the help of distillation, ripe strawberries serve as raw material. From them in the fragrant water are organic acids, flavonoids, querticin, Vitamin C and other useful substances. Strawberry hydrolat has pronounced bleaching, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and cleansing properties. 

To spray the hydrolate on your skin and hair, we recommend purchasing a sprayer with a 28/410 neck, which can be screwed onto the bottle instead of the lid.

Cosmetic properties of flower water

Strawberry hydrolate contains many active substances that condition its properties. First of all, it is a set of acids: malic, citric, salicylic, succinic, phosphoric, as well as a very small amount of glycolic acid. Thanks to such a rich composition of acids, strawberry hydrolat brightens the skin well and acts as a very light peeling, it is able to exfoliate dead cells of the stratum corneum and thus renew the skin, improve its microrelief and whiten it. However, such a rich concentration of active ingredients can cause irritation on sensitive and damaged skin, so be sure to perform a sensitivity test.

Strawberry hydrolat is a good anti-inflammatory, it mattifies and narrows pores. It prevents the oxidation of sebum and the formation of black spots.

The substances contained in strawberry hydrolat promote the production of elastin and collagen and overall skin rejuvenation. It is a very effective ingredient for both face and hair. It is able to moisturize the hair well and give it a healthy shine.

Pectins, flavonoids and carotenoids - perform a protective function and strengthen the stratum corneum of the skin, as well as work against rashes. 

When added to cosmetics, strawberry hydrosol:

Applications in cosmetics

When using hydrolats in natural cosmetics, take into account the fact that they have a reduced acidity. Unless you are preparing a special low pH product, we recommend balancing the hydrolate by mixing it with water, or adjusting the final pH of the finished product at the end. 

• for bathing (just add to the water)
• to rinse your hair after washing. Not only will this make them healthier and shinier, but it will also add a delicate fragrance. Floral waters can also simply be sprayed on the hair after washing or throughout the day without gluing or weighing it down
• to dilute clay, phytomasks and alginate masks, which enhances their effect and adds a favorite fragrance.
• for application before application of oil mixtures and homemade creams, which will facilitate application and enhance their effect.
• as a tonic for wiping the face
• as a substitute for the water phase of cosmetics.

Shelf life of natural hydrolats without preservative is not more than 4 weeks, which is impossible for transportation and further use. Therefore, hydrolats from BEURRE store have Cosphaderm LEO preservative in their composition .
