Volufiline is a non-injectable lipofilling component for the face, body, and chest.
Volufiline (Volufilin) is a natural extract of the Asian plant Gardenia Asiatica, used in medicine since ancient times. It stimulates the formation of lipids in fat cells (adipocytes), regulates the process of their deposition, and activates blood microcirculation. It enlarges and improves the shape of breasts, resulting in more rounded and attractive contours. When added to cosmetics, it provides the cosmetic effect of lipofilling.
Another component that can increase breast volume is the active ingredient Sepilift DPHP.
Characteristics of the ingredient and directions for use
INCI: Hydrogenated Polyisobutene - Anemarrhenae Asphodeloides (Root) Extract
Definition: Sarsasapogenin extracted from the roots of Asian botanical Anemarrhena asphodeloïdes, in an oil-soluble excipient
Dosage: 5%
Solubility: oil soluble
Use: incorporate Volufiline in the oil phase of the formulation between room T and up to 80°C. Recommended at 5 % in all skin care products. Suitable for cold process. Can be incorporated into emulsions and anhydrous formulation. Keep pH of finished product within 3.00 – 9.00
Storage: Long-term storage is recommended in a dark place at temperatures up to 25°C, protect from direct sunlight. Temporary transport at other temperatures is allowed.
Properties and Uses
There are many rumors about Volufiline, both for and against. What exactly is it? How does it work?
Volufiline is an advanced ingredient that works deep in the skin without hormones. It is a combination of hydrogenated polyisobutylene, synthetic oil and an extract from the root of the Anemarrhenae asphodeloides plant. It is the extract of this root that effectively stimulates adipocytes, the cells that make up the bulk of adipose tissue.
Mechanism of action of Volufiline
Volufiline increases the proliferation and differentiation of adipocytes, i.e. it promotes the increase and accumulation of adipose tissue. When applied from will work locally where it is needed. It is mainly used for breast and buttock augmentation, but it also works on other areas of the body (buttocks, cheeks, arms, lips).
The mechanism of action of sarsasapogenin is elucidated by DNAarray technique. Sarsasapogenin activates the differentiation pathway (PPARγ,COPS3, COPS5), stimulates lipid incorporation through the glucose/fructose pathway (adipophilin, SLC2A5, GLUT5) and promotes fatty tissue setting among the extra cellular matrix (LOX, ECM2). Point of interest: Sarsasapogenin is a phytosterol with no hormonal activity

Volufiline significantly increases lipid storage (up to 492 % triglycerides vs non treated cells). It illustrates and validates the triglyceride synthesis gene activation DNA array data.

Volufiline significantly increases adipocyte cell volume (up to x26 vs non treated cells). In order to visualise the volume increase effect, 3T3L1 adipocytes are cultivated to maturation during 6 days in the presence of Volufiline . Adipocyte volume is evaluated by microscopy and 3D pictures. Volulifine maintains proliferation, amplifies differentiation, activates lipid accumulation. Those effects result in volumeenhancement of adipose tissue.

Test Results
In vivo clinical studies were conducted on women between the ages of 18 and 35, one breast was treated with a cream containing 5% Volufilin. After 56 days, the breast treated with Volufilin increased by 8.4% compared to the untreated breast. The result remained unchanged for at least 3 months.

The company that manufactures the active ingredient will share a master formula. Remember that the ideal pH for breast skin care cosmetics is between 5.1 and 5.5. Remember to adjust the acidity of your breast care emulsions.
