Candle wicks
No candle can burn without a wick. With a good wick, the candle will burn long and evenly. In candle making, two types are used cotton wicks and wooden wicks.
Types of wicks for natural candles: cotton wicks or wooden wicks
Cotton wicks should be dense, woven. In this case, the candle will burn evenly and brightly. Wicks are distinguished by diameter, that is, the thicker your candle, the thicker the wick should be. Also cotton wicks can be made of white thread, or of bark thread, which fits perfectly into the general theme of natural candles. Often all cotton wicks are pre-treated with wax.
Wooden wick gives the candle exclusivity and makes it expensive and unusual. Such wicks when burning emit a characteristic crackling sound, as if a fire or wood in the fireplace is burning.
