Active Ingredients

Active ingredients as a class of cosmetic components

Active ingredients are components that determine the key properties of a cosmetic product. This is what makes the product work as it says on the tin. They are aimed at solving specific problems: matting, moisturizing, fighting wrinkles, etc.

Active components (assets) are often registered trademarks. Their formula is developed and tested in the laboratory as a ready-made recipe. The assets combine extracts, peptides, liposomes, acids - everything advanced that the world cosmetology creates. The assets are similar with injections. They penetrate deep into the skin, interfere with cellular processes, regulate and direct them.

Often the development of active components is carried out using nanotechnology and expensive equipment. That is why the price for active ingredients is several times higher than for the basic components.

Many popular actives and peptides are used by leading cosmetic brands in their recipes, and this determines the price of the finished product. But if you prepare the cream yourself, you can introduce all the ingredients in the dosage you need, which will qualitatively distinguish your cream from store-bought ones.

Why introduce active ingredients into cosmetics?

Actives in cosmetics transform a product from a universal base into a means of combating a specific problem. In this case, pay attention to the input percentage declared by the manufacturer. Usually this is the minimum allowable dosage, however, you should not exceed it, because This is fraught with allergies and irritation. Plus, increasing the dosage of an asset always leads to an increase in cost. That's why you should stick to the dosages stated by the manufacturer.

Actives can be introduced into a self-prepared cream or into a ready-made product. When adding to the finished cream, observe sterility when adding and thoroughly stir the newly introduced components. Take precautions and do not apply pure assets to your face. By following the input rules,  your cosmetics with the right cosmetic ingredients will work real magic!
